PlayStation Plus subscribers are used to free stuff by now.

For the last weekend of the year, Plus peeps can enjoy a free trial version of the Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer component. This was previously revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , but we figured you could probably  use a friendly reminder.

From December 28 through the end of the 2013, Plus members can enjoy 24-player online competition in Shadow Fall . To better prepare for the weekend action, you can download the Multiplayer Trial right now from the PlayStation Store. You should also check the myriad of holiday discounts on the PSN; you might find a few titles you've always been meaning to play, but never had the time. Well, now that they're on sale, it's the perfect time to play catch-up.

The multiplayer in Shadow Fall was actually quite original and loads of fun. It's definitely different from some of the other shooters out there.
