Want to star as one of the few survivors in Resistance 3 ? No, you don't have to audition or anything.

But you do have to win the competition outlined at the PlayStation Blog : it's your "one-of-a-kind, money-can't-buy" contest where you can become an in-game character, and even get an all-expense-paid trip to San Diego (along with a friend). It's there you will have your face scanned for use in R3. You'll even get a chance to go hands-on with the game! It's easy to participate; just visit the competition webpage and upload a picture of yourself…preferably a haggard one, so it looks like you just survived a battle with the Chimera. And they say, "the more props the better," so go all out. Then just fill in the requisite info, tell Insomniac why you deserve to be in their game, and hit Submit. Ten finalists will have their entries showcased before one lucky winner is chosen.

But if you want in, we suggest you move quickly: you've only got until the end of the week; this Friday, March 11, is the deadline. You gotta try it…it's so very cool, and more developers should have this idea.
