Capcom Delivers Visual Comparison Vid For Resident Evil 0 HD

Capcom has released a new video comparing all three versions of Resident Evil 0 .

…oh, you didn't know there were three?

The publisher goes way back for this one, showing off a prototype that was originally produced for Nintendo 64 back in 1999. Then they show you the GameCube release from 2002 and finally, the upcoming HD Remaster. The latest effort will be a big HD upgrade and will also offer improved sound, widescreen support, and the option of using a modernized control scheme (no tank controls for you?).

The main characters are STARS officer Rebecca Chambers and a prisoner on death row, Billy Coen; they have to team up to survive a fresh zombie outbreak. Players will be able to switch between these two at any time for the duration of the game, and each possesses unique skills.

But you probably never knew about the N64 prototype, did you? Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster will be ready to go some time early next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Here’s Our First Look At Resident Evil HD Zero Remaster

Yep, another Resident Evil remaster. You're not disappointed, are you?

Capcom has given us our first peek at Resident Evil Zero HD , the newly announced remaster of the 2002 survival/horror production.

How much better will the game look on new hardware? Oh, it's pretty spiffy. We get widescreen support and improved sound (always great for the genre), and the option of a "modernized" control setup. Obviously, this means gamers can ditch the standard "tank controls" and go with a standard third-person action mechanic.

As for the story, the game focuses on police officer Rebecca Chambers and a death row prisoner, Billy Coen. They have to work together to solve a virus that's turning everyone into zombies, and players can switch between the two characters when playing. As you might expect, each character has unique skills.

If you played it way back when on the GameCube, are you excited to revisit this prequel? Resident Evil Zero HD will arrive some time early next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
