PSXE Seeks Writers, Contributors For All Things PlayStation

I’ll make this short and sweet:

I’m going to be involved in more projects in 2016 and the amount of time I can dedicate to PSXE is wearing thin. I’ll still be doing stuff (major news, important reviews, etc.) but I’m opening the doors to volunteer writers and contributors.

Yes, it’s only volunteer but there’s a positive caveat: If you produce enough content in a month that results in a visible up-tick in traffic, thereby adding to the ad revenue, I can maybe toss you some money. Not much, mind you, but you’ll be rewarded if the site does indeed see more activity due to your efforts. Otherwise, this might be perfect for college students looking to gain some experience in the fields of video game journalism and/or general digital content creation. And the best part is, you have free reign…mostly.

Feel free to put up whatever you like; here’s just a brief list of possibilities:

Our system is old but easy; putting up content isn’t difficult at all, though you will receive some basic instruction concerning meta keywords and images. If you have basic HTML and SEO knowledge, including some knowledge of backlinks and SEO niche edits, all the better. As for writing ability, you don’t have to be fantastic but you do have to produce publish-quality pieces. It isn’t hard; just look at the stuff that normally goes up on a daily basis.

If you’re interested, drop me a line at bdutka[at]psxextreme.com and I’ll give you the details. I doubt I’ll turn many away and in fact, I’m hoping to get multiple volunteers. PSXE does need more voices and at the very least, we’ll get that. 🙂

PSX Extreme Now Seeking Several Super Cool Contributors

Okay, I give.

After several years of essentially handling every last aspect of content creation for PSX Extreme all by my lonesome, I've reached the end of my tether. But that's a good thing…for you . Here's why.

I'm looking for several contributors to join up and help me out. These will be on a volunteer basis but here's the good news- Firstly, the reason we're not advertising this all around the Internet is because I really want some loyal readers who have enjoyed PSXE for a while. So if you're a long-time reader and participator in the Comments and in the Forums (and I know who you are), you have a better shot of getting in.

Secondly, I don't believe in forcing schedules down people's throats when we're not talking about money. Contributors for PSXE can produce as much or as little content as they desire. I'm primarily looking for someone who wouldn't mind seeking high and low for interesting, unique, or even breaking news stories. I quite simply don't have the time for that any longer and it takes up a ridiculous amount of my day if I try. However, you're also perfectly willing to give us previews and reviews, as well as most any other content we typically publish. You can write whenever (day, night, weekend) and it doesn't matter where you live.

Thirdly and lastly, experience is a good thing. You can use this as a stepping-stone if you're looking to break into the field of video game journalism, and it will expose you to how it all works (at least to some extent). It'll be very simple; initially, you'll have to clear what you want to post up with me but after a while, you'll have free reign. If you're interested in joining up and being a part of one of the best and longest-running PlayStation websites on the Internet, email me at-

I'm looking for two or three good peeps. When you send me your message, give me an idea of what you'd feel most comfortable doing, and if you have any experience. It's all right if you don't; just bear in mind that you must be able to exhibit the writing quality we desire. I can school you on the simple backend stuff if you're a fit.

So if you wish to help, I'm willing to hear from you. 🙂
