PS4’s Huge “Kenshin” Update Focuses On Social Goodness

PlayStation 4 is in line for another big update and Sony has detailed the features it will bring to users.

Update 3.00, code-named "Kenshin," will increase the online storage capacity from 1GB to a whopping 10GB for PlayStation Plus members, introduce YouTube live-streaming functionality, and allow direct sharing of videos (up to 10 seconds long) via Twitter.

But that's just the beginning. The Kenshin update will also deliver a new events hub, which will give us an overview of activities taking place in games they play most. So, this feature might tell us about a double XP weekend or the launch of seasonal in-game events. Furthermore, the Friends app will be updated with a Favorite Groups feature, and we'll be able to send friends a "Request to Watch" message. If accepted, that either starts a live broadcast or kicks off a Share Play invitation.

Communities are coming as well, where users can create a Community that has access to a message board. You can join parties or games through a Community Now Playing area, too. If all of this interests you, don't forget that Sony is holding a beta test for this huge update. Testers will be able to access the update "very soon" so get ready!
