Okay, JRPG fans, time to dust off the PlayStation Vita.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is headed to Sony's portable on March 3 for the reasonable price of $19.99.
Enjoy a beautiful setting inspired by traditional brush paintings from the Heian era in ancient Japan, and experience a clan suffering from two curses: The Curse of Ephemerality and the Curse of Broken Lineage. The former means clan members age rapidly and have a max lifespan of only about 2 years, which means an in-game clock ticks away as you explore dungeons, fight demons, find treasure, etc.
The second Curse means clan members can't procreate. So, how do they not die out in less than two years? You turn to the Gods and perform the Rite of Divine Union, which will result in a new clan member. That member's abilities will rely on the Gods you consult, so be careful!
It seems like a really unique idea. Here's hoping the gameplay is up to snuff.
