NBA 2K15 Simulation Says Warriors Will Take The Title

The NBA playoffs just got under way but Electronic Arts has already predicted the Finals winner.

After running a playoff simulation in NBA 2K15 , the Golden State Warriors emerge victorious. In the virtual world, they took down the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games.

This means if Curry does end up going toe-to-toe with LeBron, Curry will get the upper hand, right? Don't forget that the Madden simulations for the Super Bowl have been eerily accurate over the past decade or so (especially this year's creepy result ). As for the NBA 2K15 playoff sim, there weren't many upsets but hey, maybe that's how it will pan out. Check out the full summary here .

The Warriors did upend the Pelicans in the first game of their first round series, so they're off to a fine start.

NBA 2K15’s MyTeam Mode Lets You Write A New History

Sports fans always enjoy playing "What if?"

2K Sports just revealed a new trailer for the MyTeam Mode in the upcoming NBA 2K15 . Not dissimilar to the Ultimate Team Modes we find in the EA Sports titles, MyTeam lets players select an all-star team of b-ball players from all of history. The team improves over time, too.

In NBA 2K15 , the mode will feature a real-time auction house, and players will see a challenge mode that asks several "What if?" fantasy scenarios. The developers also intend to provide players with multiplayer and weekly challenges in MyTeam, and user-generated content will be part of the experience as well. Check out how the mode will operate in the video below; it looks perfect for die-hard fans of the sport.

NBA 2K15 will release on October 7 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

First NBA 2K15 Gameplay Footage Shows Off Improved Visuals

If you're an Oklahoma City fan, you'll definitely appreciate this trailer.

Thunder superstar Kevin Durant will grace the cover of the upcoming NBA 2K15 and fittingly, the first gameplay footage features Durant. it isn't long but we get the gist.

This brief tidbit shows off the improved graphics of the PlayStation 4 version and of course, Durant's considerable dunking ability. The reigning NBA MVP makes Golden State's Andre Iguodala look awfully silly, and 2K Sports says we're looking at "new animations" as well as "new crowd elements." At the end, we learn of a bonus pack players will nab for pre-ordering. It only counts if you pre-order a physical copy, but doing so nets you a throwback Kevin Durant MyTeam card, two MyTeam card packs, those trademark leg sleeves of Durant's (for use in MyPlayer Mode), and 5,000 Virtual Currency.

Last year's entry was one of the very best games of the year, and we're expecting nothing less from NBA 2K15 .

Kevin Durant Graces NBA 2K15 Cover

Less than 24 hours after he was named MVP, 2K Sports announces that he's their man.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has been named the cover athlete for this year's NBA 2K15 , which is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7.

Durant was just named the 2014 Most Valuable Player, too, so it has been a good week for the dominating player:

"I'm honored to be selected for the cover of NBA 2K. I've been an avid fan and player of NBA 2K since I was a kid, and being selected as the sole cover athlete of NBA 2K15 is an amazing accomplishment at this point of my life. I feel like my time has come."

The fact that he was a kid when NBA 2K came onto the scene makes me feel very, very old. Anyway, if you're wondering, Miami Heat star LeBron James was on the cover for the last franchise iteration, so now it's Kevin's turn. That October 7 date is awfully crowded, though; Dragon Age: Inquisition , Alien: Isolation , Driveclub and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor all drop on that day as well.

Get ready for an extremely busy fall!
