It may be the most promising title in Square Enix's hopper right now.

The intriguing Murdered: Soul Suspect has received a release date: It'll arrive in North America for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on June 3. As usual, the European version will drop three days later.

Developed by Quantum Conundrum team Airtight Games, Soul Suspect follows the story of protagonist Ronan O'Connor's death at the hands of a mysterious attacker. The setting is Salem, Massachusetts (home of the infamous Salem witch trials of 1692) and after his murder, O'Connor must attempt to track down his killer, utilizing both the real world and a mysterious parallel dimension. If done correctly, this could be a very cool game. It always reminds me of one of my favorite games of all time, Shadow of Destiny on the PS2…
