Re-releases are getting a little boring, don't you think? How's about "evolving" a classic title?
MonkeyPaw Games has announced BurgerTime HD , a revamped retro game for the PSN, XBLA, PC and WiiWare. This is an updated version of Data East's burger-stacking platformer, and it's being developed by Frozen Codebase. Available "early this summer," the retooled game will feature four-player online multiplayer (along with local split-screen fun), leaderboards, DLC and chat. We'll get "enlarged 3D landscapes that offer numerous paths of burger creation;" as for the hilarious gameplay description, check this out:
"A unique cylindrical playing field reinvigorates the familiar classic gameplay of creating enormous hamburgers while fending off wieners, condiments and spices."
I despise fast food and suddenly I crave something nasty from McDonalds. …eh, I'll stick with trying this one when it arrives. Digital downloads can act as perfect contrasts to big-budget productions; I really think they're invaluable in keeping our gaming tastes fresh and diverse.
