Pschedelic, Classically Inspired Futuridium Headed To Vita

If you're old enough, you remember a game called Uridium .

It was an arcade classic title for the Commodore 64. Yeah, remember that awesome thing? Well, indie studio MixedBag wants to resurrect a classic in modern form.

The result is Futuridium , which has just been announced over at the PlayStation Blog . Dubbed a "psychedelic shoot-'em-up" for the Vita, players "swoop across the surfaces of massive space dreadnoughts, destroying any obstacles they encounter." The game originally released as freeware for PC and Mac; now it's coming to Sony's portable with a collection of new gameplay modes, new levels, more enemies, more speed, and a retooled audiovisual presentation.

We don't yet know when Futuridium is coming, but here's hoping it's soon!
