EA Sports Is Pumped About Tom Terrific’s Big Court Win

As you've probably already heard, "Deflategate" is over.

Well, not "over," but they've announced the nullification of Tom Brady's four-game suspension and everyone is celebrating.

Even EA Sports is pleased, the publisher that just recently released the latest Madden entry to widespread critical acclaim. Check out this update found on the official Madden Twitter page :

Yep, Tom Terrific will be on the field for opening day when the New England Patriots face the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The virtual world is gonna love that, too.

In our Madden NFL 16 review , we praised the game's solidarity, accessibility and general packaging, calling it a "logical step in the history of the franchise." And yeah, the Pats are a lot better in that game with Brady at the helm.

Beckham Jr. Becomes Youngest Ever Madden Cover Athlete

This picture is the reason he won. Everyone just needs to admit it.

The votes have been cast and counted and the winner is: New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He'll be the cover athlete for this year's Madden NFL 16 .

Beckham Jr. beat out New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in the final round, which makes Beckham Jr. (only 22 years old) the youngest cover star in franchise history. Said EA Sports senior director of marketing Randy Chase:

"Odell Beckham Jr. is a true playmaker and a perfect fit for this year’s game. He's an unstoppable force out on the field, and the Madden NFL 16 cover is further vindication that the fans believe he's a player to watch in the coming years."

In development at EA Tiburon, Madden NFL 16 will release on August 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. And yeah, that crazy one-handed catch against Dallas is why Beckham is on the cover. We all know it.

Madden NFL 16 Dated, But No Details Yet

Like you didn't see this coming.

Yes, we get another Madden football game this year and publisher Electronic Arts has announced the release date: August 25, 2015.

A new entry typically lands at the end of August, just in time for a new season. The news – and logo – came courtesy of a short blog post , which also promised we'd learn more next month. For now, we've got nothing; no screenshots or details of any kind. But really, what is there to know at this point? I think the big question is this: What do football fans hope to see in terms of improvements in Madden NFL 16 ?

Last year's effort worked hard to make the defensive elements more authentic, which was great, but it kinda backfired in a way. What do the hardcore pigskin fanatics want from the new title…?
