Mad Max Ad Thunders Onto Your TV

There was a time when September 1 seemed like a long ways off, huh?

Not anymore. The launch date for the anticipated Mad Max is just around the corner and to celebrate, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a TV commercial that you'll start seeing everywhere.

This 30-second spot features in-game footage of the chaotic, action-packed, sandbox extravaganza. There's no mercy in the Wasteland; only survival, and you have to be both strategic and ruthless. If you like, you can sample the game without actually playing it, as developer Avalanche prepped a Choose Your Own Destruction trailer a few weeks back.

Mad Max is just about ready to go for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Mad Max Interactive Trailer: Choose Your Destructive Tactic

Developer Avalanche Studios is big on destruction.

Not long after releasing an interactive trailer called "Choose Your Own Chaos" for Just Cause 3 , Avalanche has done something similar for the fast-approaching Mad Max .

The video highlights the game's sandbox structure by letting you choose how you wish to approach certain objectives. In the first case, you have to take out a convoy and you can either "Go Heavy," "Go Loud," or "Go Mad." …those three sound a lot alike to me but if you watch the video and try all three, you'll see some distinct differences. You should definitely opt for "Go Mad" if you need a rare Monday laugh.

Mad Max will be ready to go on September 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It has to square off against the gigantic Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but you shouldn't sleep on Avalanche's slam-bang action title. It might actually be more mainstream at this point.

Mad Max Stronghold Trailer Highlights Cast Of Colorful Characters

We're less than a month away from Mad Max and Warner Bros. is celebrating with a new action-packed trailer.

The new video, entitled "Stronghold," gives us a peek at the game's fortified outposts that are scattered around the wasteland. There, we'll meet all manner of bizarre and colorful characters.

As it said in the press release:

"In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve. Max will need to make some uneasy alliances as he prepares to take on merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus."

If you're wondering, the game has no relation to the recently released "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie. This is an entirely separate adventure and it'll be rarin' to go on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 1. Yeah, it's the same release day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but you can squeeze in both, right?
