Alleged Leaked Doc Details Unannounced PlayStation Games

Unannounced PlayStation Games

A document has found its way across the internet that points to several unannounced PlayStation games. Unfortunately, PSX Extreme was unable to answer to its validity, but Gematsu, alleges they’ve fact-checked many of these games through their own sources.

The biggest leaks alleged that Guerrilla Games are in the works making a PS5 remaster to Horizon Zero Dawn and a multiplayer game based on the IP. Other games on the list, as per Insider Gaming allege Firesprite is working on a survival horror, which lines up to previous coverage earlier this year, nicknamed Heartbreak.

Sumo Digital is working on an open-world multiplayer under the working title Carbon. Lucid Games is working on a multiplayer vehicle combat game nicknamed Redstar, which is likely the working name for the next Twisted Metal entry, which is in the works at the studio. Kojima Productions is working on an open-world cryptically nicknamed Ocean.

Project Bates makes another appearance in this leak, but we already knew about this Ballistic Moon-PlayStation project already back in August.

London Studio is also working on a game as a service title under the nickname Camden. None of these have been properly announced and it’s all possible to be bogus, but much of it already had hints throughout the last year or so, so really, it’s not too hard to believe these unannounced PlayStation games are really the working titles.

Lucid Games Working On Unannounced First-Party AAA Game

Lucid Games

Lucid Games is reportedly working on an unannounced first-party AAA game for the PlayStation 5. While much of this is a rumor, its involvement in an unannounced AAA game for the console is less so a rumor and more so an announcement made over on LinkedIn.

Drew Williams-Rostron cited himself as the technical designer for the unannounced project. Of course, it’s not clear what game it could be, but this whole situation does fit well with rumors spiraling about the Liverpool-based studio working on a Twisted Metal revival game.

Handing such an established and beloved IP over to a different studio would certainly be a risky move on Sony’s part, but it would fit in well with Lucid Games’ last PS5-centered project, Destruction All-Stars. It’s also rumored, if true, that this new revival will bolster Sony’s involvement in free-to-play live-service games and will coincide with the 2023 TV show.

With all that said, it’s hard to completely back this rumor as original director, David Jaffe, doesn’t believe the rumor himself.

Destruction AllStars Dev Turns Off Voice Chat By Default As DualSense Mic Complaints Roll In

Destruction AllStars

Destruction AllStars players might’ve gotten a small fright as they took to the multiplayer modes for the first time. Turns out, Lucid Games, the developer behind the title, made voice chat default to being on. Of course, with it being a next-gen game, users’ DualSenses were picking up on the voice.

On Twitter, Lucid revealed its hotfix, which highlighted that it’d cut the cord on its general multiplayer lobby VC. This means, if you and your buds want to communicate while playing Destruction AllStars, you’ll simply have to create a lobby until the developer rolls out a fix for the issue – an issue we’re sure will plague other games in the future.

Not everyone wanted voice chat defaulted on, especially as many players were largely unaware their controllers were getting picked up as mics and there is currently no way to mute VC in the PS5 title.
