There are a great many who are currently shedding tears of joy at this news. Okay, maybe not tears, but they're pretty giddy right about now.

In a recent interview with Nikkei Trendy (as translated by Gematsu ), Level-5 boss Akihiro Hino confirmed that his team is working on a PlayStation 4 title.

They're currently in the "early stages" of development but at least we know it's coming at some point. He said they might even "be able to announce it soon" and if it's another JRPG in the spirit of Ni no Kuni , that will suddenly become the most anticipated PS4 game for the long-time JRPG fanatics. Hino added that they'll be looking into using the PS4's new network features, and the project will obviously be about more than just graphics. This makes us a little nervous because the words "social media" and "multiplayer" don't really jive with games like Ni no Kuni .

Of course, Level-5 has created many other titles, too, such as the Professor Layton games, so there's no knowing what they'll produce for Sony's new system. Can't hurt to hope, though.
