It wasn't exactly well-received but many will agree that the concept was solid, and if the developers could build on that foundation and recognize the game's full potential…
The bottom line is, maybe we'll see a vastly improved game when the Knack sequel shows up.
And we're starting to see more evidence that such a project exists. The latest piece of information comes from a LinkedIn resume for a 3D animator working at Taiwanese development company XPEC Entertainment (via NeoGAF ). Mindy Liang claims she "animated 3D character motions and cutscenes" for Knack II on PlayStation 4. Of course, since this story leaked, any mention of the sequel has disappeared.
It could've been a mistake or she could've been prompted to remove it. We may never know but it does seem likely that Sony will eventually produce Knack II . And I'm on record saying I'd very much like to see a second effort , despite the fact that I dubbed the PS4 launch title decidedly mediocre . Hey, I know potential when I see it and let's not forget that Knack was actually lots of fun at times, especially when playing co-op.
