Kingdom Hearts 4 Pops Back Up Amid FF7 Rebirth Release

Amid Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s launch last month, the Kingdom Hearts team congratulated fellow the Square Enix team for the successful release of Rebirth, attached to an image of Kingdom Hearts 4. The game is, of course, still in the concept phase it seems, or at least not far enough in to warrant any sort of further marketing.

On Twitter, the account sent its congrats with the aforementioned image below. We’ve heard basically nothing about KH4 since its reveal in 2022. While we don’t know much about it, we do know that we will probably need to pick up the upcoming mobile game, Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, if we want a clue into what’s going on.

What do you think? Is a Kingdom Hearts 4 update long overdue? Let us know below!

Kingdom Hearts 4 Reveal Trailer Drops

Kingdom Hearts 4

It’s official, the next entry to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Kingdom Hearts 4, has been revealed. Square Enix haven’t confirmed platforms, but we’re sure it’s gonna at least have a PS5 version.

The reveal comes during the Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary event over in Tokyo. The trailer shows fans quite a bit from a shift form the previous game with a similar yet a bit realistic style, cinematic scope, and a bit of gameplay. It also gives us a name to the new setting the game drops us in — Quadratum.

In terms of gameplay, we got shown a bit of developer footage that’s subject to change as Sora charges in to face head-on a creature that resembles Darkside. We are then treated what appears to be gameplay features fans can do, such as grappling from place to place, parkour, and potentially running up walls. The grappling thing, though, is far from new, considering it was in past entries.

Square Enix didn’t make the mistake of promising a release date, likely because they still have quite a bit of work left to do from dubbing to fine tuning Kingdom Hearts 4’s mechanics. Whatever the case maybe, it’s good to see fans get some stellar news on the cliffhanger ending that Kingdom Hearts III left us with.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory Demo Launches Next Month

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory

Kingdom Hearts fans rejoice, Square Enix is launching a demo of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory later this year. Announced over on Twitter, the developer tells people to keep their schedules open in mid-October.

The demo will give fans a taste of what to expect with this spin-off title, which will act as a rhythm musical game featuring plenty of memorable tracks from the franchise’s history. Square Enix initially announced the game’s existence earlier this year. Unlike its previous entries, this game will act as a gateway into the world of the Switch.

The demo will drop sometime this October. Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will launch in Japan on November 11 and set to launch in the US on November 13.

What do you think? Are you going to give this different direction a shot? Tell us below!

You Can Experience Kingdom Hearts in VR This Holiday Season

If you’re a fan of Kingdom Hearts and have a PSVR laying around somewhere, you have a new way to experience some of your favorite sections. Kingdom Hearts VR is a different way to experience some of the more notable sequences in the franchise.

Not a whole bunch is known about what it is, but it will be about a 10-minute interactive video with the music. It appears as though you can also wield the iconic Kingdom Key and attack – at least – Shadows. The VR title will be available sometime during the holidays as a free download.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is Coming Out Soon and Includes Toy Story

This weekend Disney had their own convention called D23. Along with a bunch of announcements for rides and new movie trailers, they also showed a new announcement trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 which shows off some Toy Story gameplay as well as a release date.

One of the new areas in the long awaited game is Toy Story. Which I think will make a great addition to all the worlds Kingdom Hearts has brought us to. It’s been a long time waiting for this game. Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in 2005. While we have had a few spin offs through the years, it’s been almost 12 years since we had a core Kingdom Hearts game. But it’s finally coming and not too far off either. 2018 in fact.

The new trailer introduces us to the world of Toy Story. The characters look really good. I also noticed a few things in the trailer that have me pretty excited. Check it out if you haven’t already.
