I Am Bread Release Date Trailer, Fun Facts And Easter Eggs

Admit it. You're gonna play it.

Developer Bossa Studios has announced a release date for the massively anticipated title, I Am Bread . It will explode onto the PlayStation 4 on August 25.

Okay, I'm being a little sarcastic but it's only in the spirit of the game in question. It obviously doesn't take itself too seriously, right? At any rate, they've also revealed a new trailer and a bunch of Easter Eggs and other little factoids. For instance, did you know the original title of the game was "Loaf Toast?" And here's a line that made us laugh:

"We were also going to call the game 'The Walking Bread,' but our lawyer laughed and kicked us out of his office. We used that title for a Trophy instead."

It's also interesting to know that Zero Gravity mode was actually a bug, but they thought it was so much fun the designers turned it into a feature. Yeah, this is one of those games you just have to play…seeing is believing.

If You’re Bored This Summer, Play I Am Bread On PS4

Well, it was bound to happen eventually.

In a world where Surgeon Simulator can soar to unprecedented success, developer Bossa Studios figured they could make another stab at a goofy triumph.

Enter I Am Bread , which, although not faring too well with critics (as if that's a deterrent for these types of games), is headed to PlayStation 4 this summer. To psych us up, Bossa released a parody of the theme song for "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and it's well worth seeing. However, it's important to note that Bossa won't be creating the PS4 version; that job falls to Just Add Water ( Gravity Crash , Oddworld remasters).

If you're wondering, I Am Bread "tells the beautiful story of one slice of bread's epic and emotional journey as it embarks on a quest to become toasted." Just…wow.
