Guerrilla Games’s Horizon franchise continues to draw in the spotlight, this time for their upcoming Lego-fied game. As of Thursday October 3, Lego Horizon Adventures has gone live for pre-orders.
First revealed last June at the Summer Game Fest, Lego Horizon Adventures is coming to PlayStation 5, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and the Nintendo Switch. The game’s Standard Edition will retail for $59.99 and at an extra $10 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Based on the now-updated PlayStation Blog post from last week, fans who pre-order either physical or digital copies will receive an in-game Lego minifigure rendition of Aloy’s iconic Shield-Weaver suit. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the following items, some of which are inspired by characters from other PlayStation games:
Roller Coaster Customization | No need to choose between roof or coaster; you can have both and bring some theme park fun to Mother’s Heart!
Three iconic Horizon outfits | Pay homage to Aloy’s adventures in the icy north with the Banuk Armor, channel your inner Eclipse with the Shadow Stalwart outfit, or fight metal with metal as “Alloy” Aloy!
Ratchet and Rivet outfits | Join the thrilling journey as intergalactic super-mechanic Ratchet or trans-dimensional Resistance fighter Rivet.
Sackboy outfit | Trading cloth and stuffing for bricks and studs, LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy is available to join the party!
For fans planning to pick up the game on the Switch, pre-orders are available for you here. Lego Horizon Adventures is set to release next month on Thursday, November 14, which happens to be two days after the four-year mark since the PlayStation 5’s launch.

This month sees the release of the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster for PS5 and PC, leading to an older version of the game getting pulled from the digital storefronts.
Considering the remaster will be hitting physical and digital store shelves on October 31, the Epic Games Store has already delisted the PC port (as reported by VGC). When additionally checking out the Steam listing, it too has been rendered unavailable for purchase. Viewers are instead encouraged to buy a bundle for both the Zero Dawn Remaster and Forbidden West.
In addition to VGC’s speculation that the EGS delisting was made to avoid gamers exceeding the $49.99 price by paying the $9.99 upgrade, fans may recall Sony doubling the $19.99 price of Zero Dawn. This was done a few days after the September State of Play event. However, what is the original game’s listing when viewed on the PlayStation Store?
Heading over to Zero Dawn’s listing on the PS4’s PS Store, the Complete Edition is still available for purchase. Have a look below:
The game is not available for purchase through the PS5’s PS Store despite being among the majority of PS4 games backwards compatible on PS5. On a final curious note, Zero Dawn appears to still be available for purchase on the PS Store’s desktop site. Zero Dawn was a PS4 exclusive back in 2017, with the PC port available on Steam and the EGS since 2020.
What do you think? Is the game’s delisting an expected move ahead of the remaster’s launch, or do you find the removal unjustified? Let us know below!
Sony has been caught red-handed raising the price of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition ahead of the PS5 remaster. The game has spiked in price from $19.99 to $39.99.
Eurogamer spotted this price rise and pointed out that Sony is offering existing players to spend $9.99 in order to upgrade to the PS5 version, which will retail at $49.99. Obviously, this is to curb people from buying the cheaper edition to then turn around and pay a small fee to get the game at a $10 discount.
The $19.99 price tag attached to Horizon Zero Dawn has been in place for years as the game’s a part of their PlayStation Hits collection.
After franchises including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Marvel, and DC established their Lego video games, yet another joins the brick-building universe.
Guerilla Games and Lego have teamed up to premiere Lego Horizon Adventures, based on the 2017 PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn. The trailer premiered at this year’s Summer Game Fest and will be available not only on PlayStation 5 and PC, but also on Nintendo Switch. Perhaps the PC port is the closest the game has to an Xbox release as the latter has no mention of a port. In fact, Lego Horizon was the first announcement to kickstart yesterday’s event.
The trailer began with a Lego guy dressed up as a hotdog stepped in for an action game audition when he was interrupted after a giant Lego Thunderjaw broke through the walls of the stage. Lego minifigure Aloy saved the day and the narrator helps introduce her and the game world. Lego Horizon Adventures will be a two player co-op game that looks to play just like many Lego games before it, with exploration, collecting, and the usual Lego creation building. Other characters and creatures from Horizon: Zero Dawn will be featured in the game, including a Lego Tallneck spotted in the trailer. Can you also spot the Lego Tallneck in the background of the thumbnail?
Though Horizon and Lego are an unexpected pairing, this isn’t the first time Guerilla brought their franchise into Lego form. Back in 2022, Horizon fans were treated to a Lego Tallneck set available for purchase (via Kotaku Australia). Granted the $90 USD set was released specifically for the sequel Horizon: Forbidden West and has since been discontinued.
Lego Horizon Adventures is slated for a Holiday 2024 release, with the PC port available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
What do you think of the game’s SGF announcement trailer? Does Lego Horizon Adventures look like an appealing holiday purchase? Let us know below!
Okay, okay, this is the last piece today about movies — promise. We know we’re a PlayStation news site. Anyway, if a God of War TV show wasn’t enough and you’re wanting more after hearing about a Gran Turismo movie, Sony’s working on a Horizon Zero Dawn show alongside Netflix.
As per usual, not much is known about the show, all we really know is that it’s happening and actually has a place to call home already, whereas it took a bit for the God of War show to find shelter among the upcoming Fallout TV show at Prime Video.
We’re sure this show will take quite a bit of CGI and work to get going, considering the concept of the game itself — post-apocalyptic robot dinosaurs in 31st century America and a woman seeking to uncover her past. Much like the other project announced during this time, the Horizon Zero Dawn show is in early development with no leads on who might be directing, producing, or starring in it.
The Genshin Impact 2.1 update is nearing. September 1 is the day that needs to be marked on your calendars. This highly anticipated update will be filled with content to entertain the fanbase for many weeks to come. This update has been hinted at since the initial Inazuma update. However, the Special Program Announcement on the August 20 and the constant information drops from the Genshin Impact Twitter have really helped build momentum for this upcoming update.
The update will be continuing the narrative that started in Mondstadt nearly a year ago and building upon the Inazuma portion of the story. There may finally be answers as to what the Raiden Shogun’s true motives are with two new beautiful islands to explore, by the names of Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island. This update will continue with the main story quest Omnipresence over Mortals. This will likely provide depth about the country of Inazuma, the newly introduced characters, alongside the reappearance of some fan favorites such as Scaramouche. There will also be two new story quests for both Baal and Kokomi.
Characters:
There are four new playable characters including the heavily anticipated Baal.
The Electro Archon, Baal, will be a five star character with a lot of hype surrounding her Electro pole-arm abilities. She is the relentless leader of Inazuma and will without a doubt be an extremely formidable fighter.
She, alongside Kujou Sara — the four-star bow wielder with an Electro vision — will be on the first banner. Sara is largely loyal to Baal, and is still a relatively mysterious character as a descendant of the Tengu.
Sangonomiya Kokomi, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, is on the second banner of the update, and is without a doubt a very unique five star character. She is a Hydro catalyst healer, akin to characters such as Barbara. However, she is a character who enjoys a gracious healing bonus but suffers a base CRIT rate of -100%. This means she could be a game changer in the way MiHoYo creates their characters in the foreseeable future. She is unlike any other character in this respect.
Aloy:
Last but most definitely not least is Aloy, from Horizon Zero Dawn. A crossover event with Guerilla Games brings us the beloved huntress who obtained a Cryo vision. She uses her iconic freeze bombs from the original game to take down her foes. She will be a free five star character that comes with the update, and is only available to players with an Adventure Rank of 20 or higher on PS4 and PS5 platforms. Despite this, non- Playstation players will be able to get her after the 2.1 update as she is a timed exclusive. However, her “Predator” bow is a timeless PlayStation exclusive. This is similar to the Sword of Descension earlier in the game’s life cycle. This comes at the heels of Horizon Forbidden West getting a release date and Horizon Zero Dawn’s 60 FPS update.
Weapons:
Alongside the new islands, story and characters, are also five new weapons:
The five star “Engulfing Lightning” pole-arm (Baal’s signature weapon).
The free four star “Predator” bow (Aloy’s bow).
The four star “The Catch” pole-arm.
The five star “Everlasting Moonglow” catalyst (Kokomi’s signature weapon).
The four star “Luxurious Sea-lord” claymore (which is literally a fish).
The Luxurious Sea-Lord in 2.1 update.
Bosses:
The new fish weapon works well with the fishing mini-game and the upcoming events that are also being added with the update. As well as this enormous amount of content there are three new bosses:
Hydro Hypostasis — the Hydro version of the typical Hypostasis boss,
Electro Oceanid — the Electro version of the Oceanid located by Qingce village in Liyue,
Signora — the Fatui Harbinger with Pyro and Cryo forms.
Clearly, the future is looking bright for Genshin Impact and this update could possibly be revolutionary for the game. With experimental characters such as Kokomi, new mini-games such as fishing, and the beginning of compelling crossover events. This is most definitely an update you should all keep your eyes on.
