So mastermind Hideo Kojima has several projects planned and two of them are getting all the attention: one is Zone of the Enders 3 while the other is a mystery "taboo" game.
And because of the latter, ZoE3 has apparently been put on hold. Kojima said as much during a strange impromptu Q&A session shot from his hotel in France for the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker event. You can find the Japanese video over at Andriasang and although he still won't go into specifics, he does mention the following:
"Regarding ZOE3, there's been various things, so it's been sort of pushed to the back."
Then we heard from producer Kenichiro Imaizumi, who said it really isn't easy for them to do another ZoE installment and they'd have to stop doing "something else" first. Both Kojima and Imaizumi added that ZoE3 is always a hot topic of conversation wherever they go, which isn't exactly surprising considering the immense following the first two titles created. Oh, and when asked about Metal Gear Solid: Rising , Kojima refused to comment because – as the developers told us – it isn't his MGS game. He will still supervise the project but as Imaizumi said, Kojima "passed the torch to Matsuyama and Kimura."
Then, the question about that "taboo" game came up and Kojima responded:
"The Taboo is a project for high spec machines that I'm hoping to do myself next. It may or may not be a taboo, but for me, I think it will be quite the problematic game."
This really sort of indicates a type of game that he isn't quite comfortable making, so we're all starting to think of different genres… We are hoping that whatever it is, it's the massive PS3 exclusive that has been rumored. Anyway, that's the Kojima update for now and although the shoulder massage is a little bizarre, we figure Kojima should get shoulder massages from girls whenever he damn well pleases.
