Remember that mystery game Atlus teased last week?
Our best guess was Gungnir , a strategy/RPG for the PSP and lo and behold, that's exactly what it is: today, Atlus USA has announced that it has acquired the publishing rights for Gungnir , and the game will release exclusively on the PSP on June 12, 2012 in North America.
From the makers of Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare comes a new adventure "where the impoverished battle for survival" and the Resistance must fight free from the grip of their oppressors. Offering "fresh twists on an expertly honed formula," Gungnir builds on the traditional action queue of turn-based strategy RPGs. Faster actions bear smaller numbers, which allows them to execute faster than slower preexisting attacks, and players will even be able to sacrifice tactical points in order to accelerate certain actions.
It definitely sounds like catnip for those who love games like Disgaea . Also, make sure to check out the title's official site .
