In case it flew under your radar, Rockstar offers a simple solution to immediately share videos to YouTube directly on console that will cease operations on PS4 and Xbox One soon. Considering how far into the life cycle we are for PS5, we can’t say it’s shocking.
As stated by Rockstar in a Newswire post, it is approaching the limits of what it can do to keep GTA Online afloat on previous-gen consoles. By cutting the support, it will help the sustainability of the online-only romp. The Rockstar Editor’s final day will be February 20. After that, all clips and projects will be deleted.
Support for the editor will remain in full force on the PS5. If this is any indicator it won’t be until we eventually see the PS6 before we will see that generation fizzle out of support. If you aren’t clear how to save, export, and store your clips, then Rockstar’s got your back with some instructions, which you can read below.
Open the Rockstar Editor
Select Video Gallery
Select the Project you want to Export
Select Upload to YouTube, then yet
If no YouTube account has been linked to your Rockstar Games account, then select Yes to continue to link your accounts
Follow instructions to link your YouTube account to your Rockstar Games account
Return to game after linking the accounts
If you agree to the Sharing Policy, select Upload
Confirm your video title, then the video description, tagging, etc.

Rockstar Games’ recent four-post thread on Twitter has left quite an impression, even without a proper trailer, artwork, or screenshot. Earlier this month, the New York dev bizarrely announced that it would drop Grand Theft Auto 6’s first trailer in early December.
As pointed out by PSLS, the single post within that four-post thread is sitting at over 1.5 million likes and makes history as the site’s most-liked gaming-related post.
We still aren’t certain about its release date, but prior reports indicate that it’s closer than many probably expect, with the game possibly out before March 2025. We know a year sounds like a long wait, but considering GTA 5 is still selling like crazy, we’re kind of glad it isn’t waiting for the previous entry to “fall off.”
We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.
We’re finally going to get a glimpse of what’s next for the Grand Theft Auto franchise after the immense success of Grand Theft Auto 5, but even so, it’s still selling like hotcakes. The game’s been out since 2013 and has more or less defined a generation of gamers.
Rockstar Games parent Take-Two Interactive shared sales records of its major IPs, showing that the controversial franchise’s “most recent” entry is still selling over 100 million units a year. According to the quarterly fiscal presentation, GTA 5 alone has sold over 190 million copies this year, which is actually a boost from previous reports back in August.
Overall, Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold around 410 million units. Meanwhile, its western counterpart, Red Dead Redemption, stands at 81 million total units sold. If the momentum keeps up — and we imagine it will — it’s very possible that the crime and yoga sim could sell over 420 million by the time GTA’s next entry hits the market.

A lot of controls have changed over the years, from a PC player using WASD as its movement — rather than the arrow keys — or a PlayStation player using X to confirm options rather than circle, something that is also a standard elsewhere in the world until the ninth gen. Another staple standard is that of holding a button to sprint, something that Grand Theft Auto V didn’t get the memo.
Instead of holding down the button, you’re left frantically smashing the sprint button repeatedly to keep the momentum. It seems Rockstar is finally rectifying this relic of a decision after a whopping 10 years.
While the full context of the patch notes stems from GTA Online, it likely works on offline play as well. It’s fascinating that it’s taken Rockstar this long to give fans an alternative means to sprint, you can change your sprinting method in the Settings menu when the update goes live on June 13.
This week Rockstar is celebrating Memorial Day in GTA Online by offering opportunities for double GTA$ and RP as well as plenty of discounts. Read ahead and you’ll see that there is quite a bit to get excited about this week.
Bonus GTA$ and RP
There are 4 modes that you can get bonuses from this week. Including the most recent mode that was added last week.
MOTOR WARS
Parachute your way into an ever-shrinking arena armed with only the most basic of survival tools, then fight for your life as the clock slowly forces you and your enemies closer together. From devastating Railguns to Minigun-mounted Insurgents, scattered across each of Motor Wars’ seven available maps are enough guns and Weaponized Vehicles to form a small army. Once you’ve made a mad dash for the closest piece of heavy machinery, eliminate the enemy teams one by one until yours is the last left standing.
BIKERS
Approach the Contracts Wall in your Clubhouse as an MC President to launch a variety of nefarious activities via Clubhouse Contracts. Earn some tidy GTA$ & RP as you liberate the wrongfully convicted in “Jailbreak”, or provide your own brand of security detail to the less-fortunate in “Guns For Hire”. You can also make some extra green this week with Biker Work and Challenges, which will see you and your kin competing to hold the longest Wheelie, jousting each other in a petroleum-soaked rage or bounty hunting across the map for more than just bragging rights.
EXECUTIVE CRIMINALS
Using your Interaction Menu, register as a VIP or CEO to engage in some serious Freemode mayhem for Double GTA$ & RP through May 28th. With your Bodyguards in tow, turn the screw and wipe out other VIP targets in Headhunter or use the Ramp Buggy to plough your way through LS traffic in Ramped Up as you climb the corporate ladder, collecting extra pay along the way (and great ways to earn while Cargo jobs are cooling down).
TRAP DOOR
And we’ve also extended double cash and RP on the latest GTA Online mode just released last week, Trap Door – where up to 4 teams and 16 players must strive to prove their staying power and send the enemy on a long journey to the depths below. A ticking clock periodically removes sections of the map, forcing you ever closer to the center, so you’ll need to stay on your toes and out of the red zone to be the last team standing. Killing enemy players spawns them in the danger zone, so sync your kills with the countdown timer to watch your foes perish for good.

Similar to last week, you can get quite a few different vehicles at a discounted rate. There are a couple properties that you can get at a discount as well. One in particular will give you a place to put all these new vehicles.
