AdVenture Capitalist (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
So if you want to mindless “click” and make “money” even when you’re not there, this may be the game for you. Adventure Capitalist is one of those genres that fits better as a mobile game. Pretty mindless but somehow addicting. Once you take over earth and its money you can move onto other planets. I’m not sure what it’s doing on the PS4 but… It’s free though. I guess that’s good right?
Battleship (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
It’s the classic Battleship game updated for the PS4. It includes a 3d board and animations and of course some new game modes. I actually loved this game when I was a kid and this looks pretty good. I might get it someday when I have money to blow and I’m bored.
Bound (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
Man, it’s been realty awesome for unique games on Playstation lately. The Witness, Abzu, No Man’s Sky. These kinds of unique experiences are the reason I like Playstation. Bound is another interesting adventure that is based on ballerina dancing. You’ll use dance moves to move, solve puzzles, and traverse through a fantastical world that is pretty artistic looking. There’s something to be said about watching (and playing) your character move through the world with the finesse that is dancing. Looks pretty cool.
Dungeon Punks (PS Vita – PSN, cross-buy) – August 16
It’s an old school, sidescrolling, beat em up with and rpg system implemented. This actually looks pretty cool and I like the art style. The humor seems pretty good and it’s always awesome for another co-op game to come out.
Hitman ‘Episode 4: Bangkok’ (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
I guess I missed the boat on this one. I didn’t realize HItman was going to be episodic this time around. Of course I never really got into the series so. Anyways, episode 4 comes out Tuesday and takes place in Thailand. Apparently there are quite a few additions and improvements which you can read about here .
Inversus (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
Inversus reminds me of a crazy version of Othello. The point is to try and get as much of your color (either black or white) as you can using a limited supply of ammo. Or at least more than your opponent. It includes several modes including a versus mode that could prove to be a lot of fun.
The Huntsman: Winter’s Curse Adventures (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
It’s an old school style rpg/card based game that has a pretty cool art style that reminds me of The Banner Saga. The battles are based on cards that you get from equipment and whatnot. This might be a nice little gem. It definitely looks interesting anyways.
Uno (PS4 – PSN) – August 16
After being delayed for a bit we’ll get the PS4 version of Uno. It’s updated and actually looks quite nice. I’ve played the PS3 version with the kiddos and it’s actually pretty fun. If you haven’t played Uno, now is a good time to try it out.
F1 2016 (PS4 – Retail & PSN) – August 19
It’s the newest Formula 1 racing iteration and it looks really nice. It looks like the career mode is really cool. Too bad I don’t get into realistic racing games, this looks pretty awesome.
There is quite a bit coming out this week but I’m not sure if I’m going to pick up anything right away. Bound looks really appealing and Dungeon Punks looks like it would be fun. I guess I’ll add some more stuff to my wishlist on the PS Store. That thing is getting pretty full actually.
