Well, that's one way to get a game for free.

One hardcore Fallout fan went and shipped over 2,240 bottle caps to Bethesda and now, as per this post on Reddit , that fan will get a free copy of Fallout 4 when the game launches.

Here's the story: Reddit user GatorMacheteJr posted several pictures and explained how he had become a huge fan of Fallout 3 . This prompted him to save every bottle cap over a period of 7+ years, which were then shipped to Bethesda with a note of explanation. If you're a fan of the franchise, you'll know that bottle caps are used as currency in the franchise. Hence, this creative gamer meant to use the bottle caps as payment.

And it worked. Bethesda community manager Matt Grandstaff Tweeted :

So yeah, don't try the same thing because this only works once. Fallout 4 is set to launch on November 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
