Escape Plan Underground DLC, New Costumes And Features

If you haven't tried Escape Plan yet, you're missing out.

But if you're already a bona fide fan, there's some good news for you at the PlayStation Blog . The Underground DLC comes in at a discounted price of $1.99 and a new patch is live.

Lil and Laarg are riding the elevator down into the depths of Bakuki's Underground, and a labyrinth of trains, trollies, and various nasty minions await! Plus, they're tossing in four new costumes, two of which are unlocked by completing all 21 new Underground levels. Oh, and new challenges and four new Trophies, too. That's usually where such updates end, but these developers are taking it a step further and actually adding a fan-requested feature to the gameplay.

It's a new squeeze control for the Circle button; it will squeeze Lil when inflated or juiced-up on java, and that's not the only fresh addition, either. As a thank you for all the great feedback and suggestions, they're posting the Underground DLC for that discounted $1.99 price for the first two weeks of availability. After the two weeks are up, the DLC goes to the regular retail cost of $4.99, so strike now!

Escape Plan is definitely worth your time, especially if you're a puzzle lover.

Escape Plan Free DLC Arrives With Patch

If you've got a Vita and you want a very original title, you should probably try Escape Plan .

And if you already have it, you can look forward to the upcoming downloadable content. As revealed at the PlayStation Blog , the extra content called Bakuki's Lair will arrive on April 10. It's entirely free and will be delivered with the download of Patch 1.01.

You'll get 19 "prequel puzzle rooms" and you can try to lead Lil and Laarg to safety. The journey starts as the two heroes are trapped in a sausage factory (yeah, makes perfect sense) and if they can't get the hell out, they'll…oh well, it's a grisly fate, as you might expect. Furthermore, this patch provides the game "with a host of tweaks and improvements based on player feedback." It will give gamers "more pinpoint accuracy on tap blocks," plus an alteration to the game's star rating system. Oh, and five new Escape Plan avatars are coming to the Store this week, too, so you can grab those as well.

It's just one of many very cool games available for Sony's new portable right now. Got yours?
