Divinity: Original Sin 2 Is Headed to PlayStation 4 This Summer

Critically acclaimed RPG Divinity: Original Sin 2 is finally making its way to consoles this August, along with a new interface custom tailored for controllers. Four player online co-op will also make the transition, along with a new split-screen option for local 2 player sessions.

Set in the fantasy world of Rivellon, Original Sin 2 is an epic tale of the battle between Sourcerers (users of a type of magic known as Source) and the Voidwoken, monsters from the Void which are drawn to Source. Players can pick one of several pre-made character classes, each with their own backstory, or create a custom character with personally selected stats. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Lands On Consoles Soon

Enhanced is always better.

As developer Larian Studios just told Eurogamer , Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 27.

This updated version of the acclaimed 2014 PC RPG will feature a new interface designed specifically for console controllers, along with co-op play via local split-screen and online. On top of which, they've added voice acting (boasting the likes of actors Alix Wilton Regan and Alec Newman), as well as more endings.

This Enhanced Edition is a "full makeover" of the original product and as creative director Swen Vincke said in a GameSpot interview :

"We went a little too overboard with it; we called it an Enhanced Edition, but I really think that we made it much more than enhanced."

Lastly, while it isn't confirmed just yet, both console versions are aiming for 1080p. By the way, if you've been playing Divinity: Original Sin on PC or Mac, you'll get the Enhanced Edition as a free upgrade.
