Disgaea 4 Drains More Of Your Time Come September

Man, September 6 is going to be quite the day, isn't it?

Well before the holiday rush begins, the first week of September welcomes Resistance 3 , Dead Island , and now Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten . NIS America has issued the finalized release date for the latest strategy/RPG entry; it boasts a graphical overhaul but it retains the gameplay fans treasure.

And if that's not really your thing, and you prefer a straight-up JRPG, NIS will also deliver Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland later in the month on September 27. Both titles in question are exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Oh, and let's not forget another RPG PS3 exclusive set for September: Level-5's White Knight Chronicles II . Think you'll have enough to do next month?

I just can't risk getting into Disgaea 4 , though. I'll review it, certainly, but I can't afford to lose myself in these games…it's dangerous. I'll get into the Item World again and never pry myself out. 'sob'

Disgaea 4 Stateside In September, “Dis-name-a Contest”

It has been a must-buy ever since the original gripped the hardcore strategy/RPG fans back in the PS2 era.

And now, NIS America has announced that Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten will release in the U.S. in September (European gamers have a less defined "fall" date). Plus, the fans can participate in the Dis-name-a" Contest where they can submit entries for a chance at naming an in-game weapon, special skill, and an actual game character. Click the previous link and rack your brains for three separate names (item, skill, NPC). Be creative; be imaginative, and bear in mind that the NPC just might be scantily clad… They will select three winners and those three will get their ideas into the game, along with their own names in the credits. There's a list of "nameable" objects on the next page beyond the contest outline, and there's an entry form; they will accept submissions for three weeks- April 7 – April 21. We've seen developers do a lot of contests that allow for the winner to be involved in the game in some capacity, and we say- cool .

Anyway, if you're a strat/RPG buff, we assume you've just marked off September as " Disgaea 4 time." Nothing wrong with that.
