Dirt Rally’s “Resounding Success” Leads To Console Release

We haven't seen a quality rally racer in some time, so here's some good news for console fans.

After the "resounding success" of Dirt Rally on Steam Early Access, the well-received game from developer Codemasters is now available for PC.

Furthermore, the team confirmed that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will release on April 5, 2016. Said Codemasters CEO Frank Sagnier:

"The launch on Steam early access has been a resounding success. We want to thank the community for their valuable feedback and support which has guided our development for the past eight months… We are now ready to launch the final version of the game on PC.

Following this success on PC and a vocal demand from consumers, we are delighted to announce that Dirt Rally will be available on consoles on April 5, 2016."

PC players also get the Winter Wonderland update with the new launch, which is "a new rally set in the snow and ice of the Varmland region of Sweden." It'll be nice to see the game on PS4, that's for sure; the last rally racer I played was DiRT 3 in 2011, which was darn good.
