Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition Allows Import Saves

That's a nice touch, isn't it?

Okay, so let's say you've already played Diablo III on either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, and now you plan to purchase the upcoming Ultimate Evil Edition for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

What's going to happen to your save content? Do you have to start all over? Nope. According to Destructoid , the new edition will allow for cross-console importing of save files. In other words, by linking an Xbox Live gamertag or a PSN ID to a Battle.net account, players can import their progress, regardless of platform.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition boasts the base game, the previously released Reaper of Souls expansion, and new Achievements and Trophies. The PlayStation 4 version will also feature exclusive content based on The Last Of Us and Shadow of the Colossus . The new Diablo III package will be ready to go on August 19.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition Slated To Arrive This Summer

We have to wait a bit longer but when it does arrive, it will be the "ultimate" edition.

Blizzard has announced that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 19.

This package includes the original Diablo III and the new expansion, Reaper of Souls, and the PS4/Xbox One versions will retail for $59.99, while the PS3/360 iterations will only cost $39.99. New additions include an Apprentice mode that boosts the power of low-level players so they can play co-op alongside friends who are more advanced, and a new in-game mail system that lets you share loot with anybody in your Friends list.

If you pre-order the game – or you simply pick it up on launch day – you'll receive the Infernal Pauldrons item, which can be equipped at Lv. 1 and gives bonuses to health, life regeneration, and cool-down reduction. This item can't transfer across platforms but it can be transmogrified. If you already own the console edition of Diablo III for either the PS3 or 360, you can keep your new characters when you upgrade to the next-gen version.

More dungeon-crawling hack 'n slash fun for summer!
