Cyberpunk 2077 Once Again Delayed…

Cyberpunk 2077 Delay

Okay, so please don’t shoot the messenger – Cyberpunk 2077 is delayed… again. CD Projekt tweeted out Tuesday that the game will not release on November 19 as planned.

Placing the blame on testing purposes of its nine platforms and working from home woes, the game was moved to a December release date.  The news also sparked a lot of frustration as fans pointed to the developer assuring that the last delay was the final release date.

Cyberpunk 2077 will – as of right now – launch on December 10.

CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed… Again

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed… again. CD Projekt has announced via Twitter that they still have work to do on the game and have set sights on a November release date this time around.

By content standards, it’s finished, with all cutscenes, quests, skills, and items finalized and added. But, that said, now comes the troubles of sifting through the content to make sure everything is balanced and without bugs.

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally set to launch on April 16. It was subsequently delayed, though, earlier this year for a September 17 release. Now, the release date is scheduled for November 19.

Skater XL Delayed To Late July

Skater XL

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Skater XL. Revealed in a tweet, developer Easy Day Studios is pushing its release date to late July, rather than early. They haven’t explained what the reason was behind this decision, but the choice isn’t too shocking overall. This year has been plagued by changing release dates for games but at least this time it’s only by a few weeks.

They claim the date change is due to things out of their control. Its new release date for most consoles is July 28, a few weeks after its original July 7 date. It was announced to be coming to the PS4 earlier this year.

Dying Light 2 Delayed Amid This Year’s Month Of Delays

Dying Light 2 delayed

The delays just keep on coming. Developer Techland has revealed Dying Light 2 is delayed until further notice. Of course, they’re still working on the game, but its initial springtime release is no more.

In a community post penned by CEO Pawet Marchewka, the developer expressed that, once again, their vision won’t be met by its release. Wanting to completely fulfill this vision, Techland is delaying its release until it’s met.

“We were initially aiming for a Spring 2020 release with Dying Light 2, but unfortunately we need more development time to fulfill our vision. We will have more details to share in the coming months, and will get back to you as soon as we have more information.”

They are promising more details in the future, but for now, fans get a simple apology for this “unwelcome news.”

Dying Light 2 was revealed during E3 2018 and confirmed as a cross-generation title. It puts the player 15 years after the original Dying Light as the new protagonist, Aiden Caldwell. The game focuses on building up what the original had. New parkour moves, a bigger landscape to explore, new zombies, and more are to be expected.

As it’s been very clear, this month has been rife with developers pulling the reigns back and opting for a new, later release date. Many of which set a new one, this just so happens to be the odd one out. Other notable titles that are finding its way to a new date include Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Iron Man VR.

What do you think? Are you annoyed by all the delays this year? Do you think these delays will benefit the titles?

Iron Man VR Delayed To “Meet High Expectations”

Iron Man VR

It seems a lot of developers are pushing their games back as of recently. Following the delays put on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Cyberpunk 2077, developer Camouflaj revealed they’ll be pushing back Iron Man VR to a later date.

In their quick statement on Twitter, they claim it’s to meet expectations set by its community. Iron Man VR is exactly what it sounds like, you can take to the skies in a first-person perspective as the iconic armor-clad Marvel hero.

The story follows Tony Stark as he has retired from making weapons. Instead, he creates a crime-fighting suit. After becoming known as Iron Man, he and his branches around the world are attacked by a mysterious being hellbent on killing Stark with old, re-purposed Stark Industry weapons.

Camouflaj thanked everyone who is waiting patiently for its release and continue to do so. They also made clear it was a hard decision to change its release date from the end of February to the middle of May.

This isn’t even the first Marvel game to get the dreaded release date change. Not even a week earlier, Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers was also delayed in favor of a September 4, 2020 release. In that time, they aim to further polish and tune the game to hopefully meet the fans’ expectations.

Iron Man VR is now raring to release on May 15, 2020.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Delayed To “Apply Final Polish”

Final Fantasy VII Remake delayed to April

Square Enix has delayed Final Fantasy VII Remake. As the day grows closer fans wait with bated breath to finally get their hands on a copy of one of the pinnacle PlayStation titles and one of the bigger entries to the Final Fantasy line.

Revealed in a press release Wednesday, Square Enix‘s Yoshinori Kitase elaborated that they wanted to be sure the game’s quality would fit their “vision.” As such, they opted to delay the release to April 10.

“In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.”

He then went on to assure fans they will be taking these few extra weeks to polish the game further.

“We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience.”

Kitase went on to apologize for any inconvenience this caused as it means fans will have to wait another month. He closed off the press release by thanking the people who have been waiting patiently and showing support for the remake.

Rumors began spinning around the possibility of a remake back in 2014, but it wasn’t until E3 2015 that those rumors were validated. Over the course of time, the game went radio silent until 2017 where a few pieces of art and the HUD were showed off. Though, it went into high-gear during May 2019’s State of Play where a full-fledged trailer was revealed.

The first part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is heading to PS4 on April 10, 2020.
