Unannounced PS5 Native Dead Cells Listed On ESRB

Dead Cells

Even though Dead Cells developer Motion Twin hasn’t officially revealed their intentions of releasing a native PS5 version of their roguelike-Metroidvania, fans have a glimmer of hope that it will come to fruition. The game was released across major platforms, including mobile, but hasn’t made its way to the current-gen just yet.

As spotted by Gematsu, an ESRB page opened up for Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition, which will obviously include the standard fare and its DLC. It’s unclear if the version will be exclusively digital, if they will splurge on a physical release, or perhaps do something like partnering with a limited release company to make physical copies of their PS5 version for a limited time.

Whatever the case may be, it will no doubt be good news for enjoyers of the roguelike who want to play a native version rather than rely on backwards compatibility. No news on when it may release.

Dead Cells: The Bad Seed DLC To Arrive February

Dead Cells: The Bad Seed DLC

Motion Twin has revealed the release date for Dead Cells: The Bad Seed DLC. Revealed last month through a teaser which was followed up with a regular trailer Wednesday. The DLC is going to toss in two extra levels, a new boss to brawl against, and brand-new weapons, enemies, and abilities for the player to play around with.

It’s been established that more DLC was coming for the roguelike-Metroidvania-styled game. They did say Dead Cells is “not stopping anytime soon.” This reveal was quite sudden, but a welcome announcement from them too.

The Bad Seed won’t break the bank with its price set at $4.99. The game rose to fame and even won an award during The Game Awards.

The Bad Seed DLC will be available for purchase on February 11.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 Crowned Best Game of August

At the end of August, PlayStation opened a poll for readers of its fans to vote for what they believe was the best video game of that month. The votes are in and August’s winner is Yakuza Kiwami 2. Though, other games were noted to have given the winner a run for its money.

Dead Cells from Motion Twin, for example, was one of the top contenders alongside First Contact Entertainment’s Firewall: Zero Hour.
