Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition Receives Launch Trailer

If you never had the pleasure of Darksiders II , you should consider the Definitive Edition.

Or rather, the "Deathinitive" Edition , which will be available on October 27 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Now, Nordic Games has released the launch trailer for the revamped title; check it out below. The upgrade features slick new 1080p graphics, a new rendering engine to improve lighting and shadows, and better detailing for characters and environments. In terms of gameplay, all we know is that certain parts have been tweaked and the balancing and loot distribution have been "reworked and tuned."

Of course, if you're like me, you just really want to hear about Darksiders III . Get it done, Nordic!

Amazon Leaks Darksiders II “Deathinitive Edition” For PS4

Another day, another definitive edition.

Or rather, "deathinitive."

That's not a word but it becomes reality in the updated PlayStation 4 version of Darksiders II . It hasn't been officially announced yet but you can find evidence of the game's existence at Amazon .

The Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is currently only listed for PS4 and it boasts a placeholder date of December 31, 2015. Don't forget that after THQ sunk, Nordic Games snapped up the rights to this series, so we expect news on this product from Nordic at some point. Chances are, the new version will include upgraded visuals and a host of other goodies, as per usual with definitive editions.

Darksiders II was one of the most wildly entertaining and well put-together games of the previous generation. If you missed it, make sure to put the Deathinitive Edition on your radar.

Darksiders II Definitive Edition In The Works For New Consoles

Now here's a Definitive Edition more people might be interested in because in our estimation, not enough gamers played the original.

Publisher Nordic Games confirmed to GameSpot that a Definitive Edition of Darksiders II is in the works for next-gen consoles.

Amazon listed a PlayStation 4 version of the game a little while ago (along with a reasonable price tag of $40), but that listing is gone now. However, a Nordic representative did confirm that such a project is in development. The game in question, which launched in August 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, received great reviews and did sell relatively well. It just didn't get the same numbers as a major franchise installment, like a new Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty .

I still say Darksiders II is one of the absolute FUNNEST (yes, I used that fake word) game of the previous generation. It's a fantastic action/RPG that everyone should at least try, I think. Now, how's about Darksiders III , Nordic…?
