Well, Now Dark Souls Has Been Beaten With Voice Commands

Oh, come on.

Speed-runner and all around impressive game fanatic Benjamin "Bearzly" Gwin has beaten Dark Souls a number of crazy ways, including once with a Rock Band guitar controller .

So, what was next? Why, beating the ultra-challenging game with only voice commands, of course. Gwin explains how he did it on Reddit ; it involved using VoiceAttack and – just a guess – a whole lot of practice. The most insane part about this is the lag he had to deal with; in some cases, it was around 1.5 seconds. That's an eternity in any real-time action-based game.

Dark Souls Absurd Speed Run: Less Than 1.5 Hours

Okay, these speed runs are starting to freak me out.

A few days ago, we learned about the two Bethesda employees who completed the campaign in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in about 2 hours and 16 minutes. That was plenty insane enough. Seriously.

But considering the insane difficulty of Dark Souls , this might be even more ridiculous. Below is part one of SexyShoiko's speed run through From Software's demanding RPG; there are seven parts in total (click through to YouTube if you want to see them all), and the final play time comes in at 1 hour, 26 minutes and 28 seconds. …give me a break. Nuts.
