If you grew up in the days when games like Unreal Tournament and Super Smash Bros. ruled your life, you're going to appreciate this new PlayStation 4 game.

As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , a new 2D arena shooter called Crashnauts is headed to Sony's new console. It's said to boast "some of the best game mechanics from the twitch shooter games of the 90's."

Developers Fueled by Rockets put a twist on those old customs as well; for instance, they've got a nifty way of approaching respawns, and they're also offering "extra wide levels combined with a scrollable camera." The game debuted at the Salt Lake Gaming Con where feedback was "overwhelmingly positive" and people said things such as: "It’s like Smash Bros. with guns!" Yep, sounds like Crashnauts is gonna be tons of fun!
