Going into next week's Bloodborne launch, you can't claim you're unprepared.
Developer From Software hasn't been shy about sharing details and footage for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, and the latest batch of info comes courtesy of a recent interview conducted by Multiplayer and Dualshockers (which you can see in its entirety here ).
Masaaki Yamagiwa, a producer for Sony Japan, which assisted From Software in the development process, first talked about the power of Sony's latest console. We've heard it before, too: The game in question is only possible thanks to PS4's capability:
There are plenty of things that we were able to do with the PS4 that we haven’t been able to do before. One example is the weapons that transform in the middle of the game, they extend, they retract, they change in all these different ways and they do it in a very graceful way, lots of different actions and motions and we wouldn’t have been able to do that without the power of the PS4."
He added that the beautiful environments we'll traverse are "directly connected to each other," which is another benefit of a powerful machine. If you see the interview, you'll hear about a few more details (some of which we've learned before). It's interesting about that transforming weapons, isn't it? Wonder how that will impact the gameplay, and if we have full control over such transformations.
Bloodborne releases on March 24 in the US and March 27 in the UK.
