A comic book instantly makes everything more fun.
Even though Call of Duty isn't necessarily known for its storylines, that hasn't stopped Dark Horse Comics from announcing a new series based on the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III .
The comic acts as a prequel to the game, as the first issue follows an elite squad of cybernetically enhanced soldiers who must fight their way through Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The goal is to track down a double agent.
"But as they close in, the operatives uncover something much more sinister at hand." ,/p>
Written by Larry Hama ("G.I. Joe") and featuring illustrations from Marcelo Ferreria ("Transformers," "TMNT"), this should be a winner for comic book fans. Dark Horse will hand out free copies of a special mini-comic at the San Diego Comic-Con next week, too, and the full issue will drop on November 4 for $4.
As for Black Ops III , that will launch a couple days later – November 6 – for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
