PS4 Versions Of Beyond And Heavy Rain Detailed, Dated

If you missed these narrative-driven gems on PlayStation 3, you'll soon get another chance to play them on PlayStation 4.

And of course, you'll have the opportunity to play the enhanced versions. As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , two Quantic Dream productions have been detailed and dated.

The first is Beyond: Two Souls , which will launch next week on November 24 as a digital-only product on the PlayStation Store. For only $30, you get "enhanced 1080p" visuals that boast motion blur, bloom, and depth of field effects, along with improved lighting and shadows. The port also uses the DualShock 4's speaker to "improve immersion when playing as the Entity." Here are a few other features to look forward to:

— Decisions are highlighted at the end of each scene and compared with those made by other players.

— Once you have completed Beyond: Two Souls, you will be able to replay the game in chronological order–a much requested feature in the PlayStation 3 version.

— Increased difficulty in certain fight scene, combined with improved controls for action sequences.

— Includes the "Enhanced Experiments" DLC.

Then comes the PS4 version of Heavy Rain , which will release on March 1, 2016, also as a digital-only title. This one will be playable at Sony's PlayStation Experience in San Francisco in December, and don't forget it qualifies as one of the PS3's very best games.

The good news is that if you purchase Beyond , you'll get Heavy Rain at a discount when it comes out (we don't have a price point for the latter just yet). Looking toward the future, Quantic Dream's new PlayStation 4 exclusive, Detroit , was just unveiled at the end of October.

Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls PS4 Dates “Coming Soon”

First off, if you missed these great games on PS3, shame on you.

Secondly, you have a chance to redeem yourself when they get re-released on PlayStation 4. And we'll soon know those dates.

We learned earlier this year that updated versions of the well-received Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls would be coming to Sony's new console. And although we don't yet have any footage of these new versions, we do know the launch dates for both are "coming soon" according to developer Quantic Dream's Twitter account :

The games were originally only confirmed for Europe and PAL regions but were later announced for North America as well. The titles will be available separately as digital downloads, or they can be purchased in a two-game bundle either digitally or in physical disc format. No pricing details yet.

But what about your new PS4 project, Quantic Dream…?

Rumor: Beyond: Two Souls Director’s Cut Is PS4-Bound

Releasing upgraded versions of previous games is a definite trend right now.

Perhaps the latest to receive the "definitive" treatment is Quantic Dream's PlayStation 3 exclusive title, Beyond: Two Souls .

As reported by IGN , a Director's Cut version of the game popped up on two German retail sites (even though the listings have since been removed), and Exophase has posted up a Trophy list, too. Lots of evidence that an updated version of the game in question is heading to the PS4.

If you're going to do this, pick Heavy Rain instead. It was just better.
