Buy BG&E HD Remake If You Want To See The Sequel

It has been a while since we saw that teaser for Beyond Good & Evil 2 . But don't worry; Ubisoft says, "keep the faith."

And in order to keep that faith, you should show your support by picking up the high-definition remake of the original title. Ubisoft producer Wang Xu told Eurogamer that fans shouldn't give up hope on the long-awaited sequel, but when asked if the HD remake would be used to gauge interest in the follow-up, Xu replied:

"Yes it is true; please buy Beyond Good & Evil HD if you want more BG&E games."

Starting next week, that brilliant high-definition version of one of the PS2's most entertaining titles will be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live service. So if you were a fan of the game and have been waiting for Ubisoft to fully unveil the sequel, make sure you download the high-def Jade goodness.

Beyond Good & Evil was released in late 2003 and garnered plenty of critical acclaim for its great blend of action, adventure, stealth, and puzzle elements. If you missed out, you should definitely give the remake a shot. It'll benefit us all in the long run…

Beyond Good & Evil Rises Again, In HD For PSN/XBLA

While we anxiously await any news of the sequel, we appreciate Ubisoft's recognition of the original's long-standing appeal.

Today, Ubisoft has announced that Beyond Good & Evil , the award-winning action/adventure PS2 game that stole the hearts of many, will be recreated in high-definition for a new life on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. The fresh overhaul will arrive some time next year, and it'll be complete with Trophies, Achievements, and a few new secrets. Boasting everything from epic boss encounters to exploration to stealth to puzzles, BG&E is one of the more well-respected titles from last generation. Jade, an investigative reporter and martial artist, is the protagonist, and she must work to discover a terrible governmental conspiracy. She'll need evidence of the misdeeds, though, and that's where you come in, so make sure to look about, make some friends, and above all else, stay alive! This game was quite colorful and extremely well designed, so with a glossy HD sheen, it should look pretty damn good. Besides, not many games these days combine so many elements into a cohesive, entertaining quest.
