What were the best-selling games on the PlayStation Store during the month of January?
We've got the answer thanks to the lists posted up over at the PlayStation Blog and it's no surprise to see perennial favorite Minecraft atop the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 charts. It also came in at #3 for Vita sales.
Of note, the extremely popular (and endlessly entertaining) Rocket League landed in the runner-up slot for PS4, while Grand Theft Auto V came in third, Call of Duty: Black Ops III was #4, and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition rounded out the top five. Black Ops III was #2 for PS3, followed by the Mass Effect Trilogy , Need for Speed Rivals , and the Devil May Cry HD Collection .
For Vita, Persona 4 Golden was the overall leader for January and Bastion was the runner-up, while the top 5 PSOne Classic downloads were: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy , Dark Cloud 2 , Final Fantasy VII and Xenogears . Unsurprisingly, DLC for Black Ops III was atop the add-on charts for both PS4 and PS3.
Oh, and the acclaimed new puzzler from Jonathan Blow, The Witness , came in #8 on the PS4 list, which is pretty impressive considering the game didn't even launch until the last week of January.
