Battlefield 4 Gets Another Major Patch

Okay, let's try again.

Battlefield 4 has been plagued with a myriad of debilitating issues ever since its launch. Multiple patches and updates haven't completely eliminated the problems, but the latest might greatly enhance the multiplayer stability.

Developer DICE has released another major patch for the ailing shooter; it was just released for the PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Check out the laundry list of fixes that should come to the PS4 iteration. Just to clarify, all three patches supposedly fix the "kill trading" issue the team fixed in the PC version. And if you're wondering, they're still working on a big patch for the Xbox One iteration, but you can bet it'll attempt to address similar issues. No version of BF4 has been problem-free.

Players haven't had it easy. Numerous crashing and freezing issues have been reported for a while and although each patch seems to help a little, those problems persist. EA is already on record saying they won't release any more DLC until the game is stable. Probably a good idea.

Battlefield 4 PS4 “General Stability” Patch: Hopefully, A Cure-All

Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4 was nigh-on unplayable online. Now, hopefully, the issues will be resolved once and for all.

Developer DICE has delivered yet another title update for the ailing shooter, which has experienced crashing, freezing and other debilitating issues since launch. This new patch promises to improve general stability and as a result, it will eliminate "a large amount" of client crashes.

They do recommend that you restart your game after the updated is installed, just in case. Here's the detailed list of fixes for the latest patch; it sounds encouraging:

DICE is also working on a new update that should incorporate player feedback. However, for stability reasons, it's obvious that this patch needed to happen first; can't have an opinion about a game that doesn't work, right? Well, besides- "hey, freakin' fix it!"

Another Battlefield 4 PS4 Patch Arrives

Battlefield 4 has endured a glitch-filled launch on next-gen consoles and PC.

But developer DICE has been working hard to deliver those valuable title updates. They've already given us one patch, and another is scheduled for today (Tuesday, December 3).

Many of the remaining issues involving crashing, freezing, and other annoying hitches and glitches should be fixed with this new update. The update will go live for the PS3 and 360 later this week, while the PS4 and PC versions will get patched up today. Here's a list of what the PS4 update addresses, as taken from the Battlefield 4 forums :

Chances are, this won't be the last update. But with each new patch, the online experience should get better, right? Here's hoping that multiplayer fanatics haven't all switched over to Call of Duty: Ghosts due to the multitude of problems Battlefield 4 has faced in recent weeks. EA worked hard to grab that market share away from Activision, after all.
