Back To The Future: The Game For PS4 Spotted On Amazon

Looks like a great digital series is coming to a new generation.

A NeoGAF forumite has spotted something interesting: An Amazon listing for Back to the Future: The Game for PlayStation 4.

The listing shows the "30th Anniversary Edition" and gives a date of October 13 and a price of $20. This new physical version should release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 (don't forget that it's already available digitally for PlayStation 3). As for why it's the 30th Anniversary Edition, the original "Back to the Future" movie first hit theaters in 1985.

The product page claims the updated game will come with exclusive content like video interviews with movie producer Bob Gale and actor Tom Wilson (Biff). And even though it doesn't specifically mention it, we assume all five episodes are included in the box.

We thought the first episode was pretty darn good on PS3; if you missed out, you might want to play the full series in October on PS4.

Back To The Future Platforms, Details, Making Of Video

It's a classic movie franchise and for the first time, it might finally get a quality video game adaptation.

Telltale Games has announced the intended platforms and estimated release dates for Back to the Future: The Game . Right now, we only know the PC and Mac versions will release in December with the price of $24.95, and PlayStation 3 and iPad versions will follow soon after. The game picks up shortly after the events of the third film, and the story will take place across 5 episodes, with a new installment scheduled to release every month after the first arrives.

Telltale has created the project in collaboration with Universal Partnerships & Licensing and the trilogy's co-creator and co-writer, Bob Gale. It's good timing, too, because we're about to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary movie series; the "Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy" will launch on October 26 in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats. Said Dan Connors, Telltale CEO:

"We’re very excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise with a completely new adventure. It’s been an amazing experience to be part of reuniting Marty McFly and Doc Brown on their continuing quest. Back to the Future fans will have a great time helping to control the integrity of the space-time continuum."

You can see a brief making-of video at the game's official site , where both Bob Gale and Christopher Lloyd talk about the process. Heck, this game is probably worth it just for Lloyd's voice as Doc Brown but don't forget, Telltale makes quality products. Their resume includes stuff like Sam & Max , Tales of Monkey Island and Wallace & Gromit , so they seem well-suited to this sort of project.
