Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Solo Gameplay Is Familiar

It's not your quintessential single-player experience from Insomniac, but it's Insomniac. You can always count on a great solo adventure.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One really does encourage you to play with a friend or two (or three), but that doesn't mean you can't have a blast playing by yourself. Visit the PlayStation Blog to get a glimpse of the single-player gameplay, which certainly looks encouraging. If you play alone as Ratchet, Qwark or Nefarious, the AI bot (Clank) will accompany you in your noble quest, as he has always done in this franchise. When you get to a part of the game that requires teamwork, Clank will do everything necessary. And if you opt to play as Clank? …well, Insomniac has a surprise for you.

All 4 One arrives on October 18 and although it has to compete with Batman: Arkham City on that same day, R&C always offers a lighthearted platforming/action experience. Also, don't forget about the "very limited public beta" slated to run from September 13 to September 27. Keep on eye on the studio's Twitter feed and Facebook page for how to grab a code. We might get some, too.
