Advanced Warfare Narrative Took “Two And A Half Years”

Don't scoff at the narrative in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare . Know how long it took to write?

Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield addressed a fan who wondered if the campaign might actually be worth playing in this year's CoD entry. This was Schofield's simple response on Twitter :

"It should be. The story alone has taken over 2 1/2 years to write."

Bear in mind that Advanced Warfare has been in development for nearly three years, so it's not too shocking to see that 2.5-year number. Of course, the time spent crafting a story arc isn't always indicative of that story's ultimate quality. Still, it's a good sign, wouldn't you say? And as we've said before, we're not sure if Kevin Spacey would've accepted a crap-ass script…doesn't seem like something he'd do.

Just think: A CoD where both the single-player and multiplayer are well worth experiencing. Sure, sign me up!
