Ubisoft Teases Darwin And Dickens DLC For AC Syndicate

Why should you pre-order Assassin's Creed Syndicate ?

Because you get a very special piece of downloadable content, that's why. And Ubisoft gives you a glimpse of it in a new teaser trailer (see it below).

The video highlights the Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy, which lets players embark on missions for "two of the greatest minds of the industrial revolution." As you should already know, Dickens ("A Tale of Two Cities," "Great Expectations") is one of history's greatest novelists and Darwin produced the theory of evolution. Evidently, in the game, both are in trouble and the player must sort things out.

For Darwin, players have to "defend his discoveries from those who would kill to silence him" and for Darwin, he has a friend who knows a secret that might get him killed… Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches on October 23 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the PC version has a vague "Holiday 2015" ETA.

For more, here's a nearly a full hour of gameplay .

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: Nearly A Full Hour Of Gameplay

When a game is this huge, even an hour of gameplay doesn't really qualify as a spoiler.

Then again, if you want to go into the experience entirely fresh, you'll still want to avoid it. You might be more than satisfied with the cinematic trailers.

But if not, Ubisoft livestreamed nearly an hour of footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Assassin's Creed Syndicate and you're welcome to watch. This is just loaded with gameplay and you can check out the combat, exploration and vehicles (remember, you can hijack carriages in this new AC adventure). Provided the developers don't launch a game that tries to manipulate the user into being "connected" at every turn, the game should be fantastic.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set to hit store shelves on October 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more, check out the E3 trailer and info .

E3 2015: AC Syndicate Gorgeous Trailers, Exclusive Content

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Syndicate shined during Sony's E3 press conference.

The publisher had previously shown off a cinematic trailer (see it below) and we also got a fresh gameplay video featuring a new character, Evie Frye.

Evie is the twin sister of protagonist Jacob Frye and seems to adopt a stealthier approach. In the trailer, she investigates London from the shadows and shows off her unique Cane Sword weapon. She also has throwing knives, which isn't new to the AC universe but how she utilizes them could be a definite innovation.

After the trailer ended, Sony's Adam Boyes announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Syndicate will feature exclusive content. It will come in the form of the Dreadful Crimes missions and you can play as either Jacob or Evie.

Can't wait for this one!
