Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy Coming Exclusively To PS3

Let's say you're late to the party. Let's just assume, for the sake of argument, that you never got to play some of this generation's greatest games.

And yet, Assassin's Creed III has intrigued you and now you're going, "damn, what have I missed…?" Well, if you're a PlayStation 3 owner, it will soon be time to rectify the situation.

Ubisoft has announced the Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy , which is coming exclusively to the PS3 on November 13 for the price of $39.99. The collection boasts Assassin's Creed II (with downloadable content), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood , and Assassin's Creed: Revelations , all tidily packaged together on one Blu-Ray disc. Obviously, the reason it's called the Ezio Trilogy is because it spans the three games where Ezio was the protagonist; Altair was the main character in the original title, and we start fresh with Connor in ACIII.

And yes, I know Desmond is technically the "main character," but you get the point. Also, in another nod to PS3 gamers, don't forget that ACIII will feature four exclusive single-player missions. There's just no avoiding the awesomeness that is AC this autumn!

Revelations DLC Set For December

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is on store shelves and if you're a big fan of the franchise, you'll be happy to know that Ubisoft has already announced a date for the first batch of downloadable content.

First up is the Ancestors Character Pack, which will be available on December 13 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $3.99 (320 Microsoft Points). This will add four new playable characters for the multiplayer mode: the Privateer, the Corsair, the Brigand, and the Gladiator. Gotta try the Gladiator.

Ubisoft also made mention of a second DLC pack, but they didn't shed any light on the details. Assassin's Creed: Revelations is Ezio's final quest to learn everything about his past and the secrets surrounding the Templars, his ancestor Altair, and let's face it, the fate of the whole world. Expect our review very soon.
