New And Improved VidZone App Hits PS4

The PlayStation 4 is supposed to be a primary entertainment hub for the living room.

The days of consoles only playing video games are long gone. For instance, the free music video-streaming app, VidZone, is now available on Sony's new system.

As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , the PS4 version of this app (which was previously released on the PS3) features faster start-up times and quicker navigation options. Furthermore, thanks to the PS4's slick social features, you can see which videos your friends are watching, and you can take screenshots of your favorite vids and share 'em via Facebook and Twitter.

Just go easy on any friend you find watching a Katy Perry music video over and over. You probably have some music video skeletons in your closet you don't want anybody to know about. Admit it.

Vidzone is well worth a look, the ads aren't too bad, and the quality of the catalogue is pretty solid.

And I haven't been able to download it yet. All I get is "Content not available" and an error message.

I'll never understand the stigma against a guy that likes to hear and watch a lady sing and do her thing in a music video.

Anyways, Vidzone is 'good enough'. The selection for nostalgic 1980's and 90's music videos is limited and short compared to the stuff from this current decade. The quality is superior though, even with the older videos.

The Ads are the only downside, on average I've been able to go through 3 songs in my playlist, before a dozen commercials will play and loop over before your next song is finally able to play.
