There are any number of ways to interpret the findings. The question was simply whether or not you had already purchased the PlayStation 4 and if not, when you plan to get one.
The majority of our readers say they're waiting to pick up Sony's new console. Nearly 2/3 of participants said they'd either get one "soon" or they'd wait "at least until 2014." A fair portion said they'd already snagged the PS4, and only a small percentage said they never intend to purchase the system. We've got mostly avid gamers in this community, so when most of them say they didn't get the PS4 immediately, that's worth noting. Is it because the software isn't there yet…?
Yeah, that's probably a big reason why. As for this week, we want to take a step back from the new generation and focus on what might be the last AAA exclusive for the PS3. Are you getting Gran Turismo 6 ? Already have it? Never getting it? Let us know.
Definitely waiting for 2014. I mean. Come on. ATM what really is the defining factor to BUY one? What am I missing out on RIGHT NOW? Not much that isn't already available on other systems. So yes, I'll wait for more exclusives besides Killzone.
That's my thoughts. There are a few on here who have said they bought it now to show support for Sony and the good games "will come later".

For me it would seriously been enough with GTA5 being available for the PS4. That'd made me go out and buy it.
Ah you know how it is my man. New technology! Console gamers don't really have that thought process that goes "Well it's just some good PC parts in a box"
We tend to go "Squeeeee! New Playstation!!! Grab it!"
Actually I bought mine for a few reasons… I wanted a better game experience – check; I wanted the capabilities (graphics, full 1080p, and for instance BF4 having 64 players online, those things) – check; and I wanted Killzone – check. Every single thing Ive mentioned has lived up to my expectations. Its a system built for me – a gamer – and despite a lack of more games I still get the experience expected, and more.
The console creates a seamless transition that never interrupts my gameplay. Thats why I got mine and I have not one regret.

But for those first two checks you do need GAMES to play! That's my point. Nobody will argue against the need for new hardware now – but until there's enough games for it there's really no rush.
We all look forward to enjoy the better hardware. But personally I don't mind to wait until I got at least two-three AAA games to choose from, a handful of decent games to pick up from the bargain bins and Killzone to have dropped to at least 50% of the price.
But yeah – I do look forward to that day!
Er, I am referring to the current 4 games I have. Soon to be 5th when I hopefully get Need for Speed for Christmas. I guess you missed the part where I mentioned the games. By the way im saying this on my behalf not yours.

most people are waiting till that first big epic exclusive, the first game that makes people go wow this is what the ps4 can do.

as for GT6 nope because 1 i aint going back to my ps3 for a long, long time.
and 2 theres plenty of better racing games out there so no thanks.
when PD get with the times and realize its no longed 1996, and add in 2013 features, then ill shell out for another GT.
until then theres plenty of other better racing games out there.

And i wait before i buy me a PS4:i have multiple very good ps3 games to play +:there are still coming very good games to the ps3,like Lords of shadow 2/Thief/Wolfenstein[i guess in the beginning that there will be no BIG difference with the ps4 version]
Also the games i like and that will be only on ps4[and not[?] on ps3] are not released yet,to name a few:
-the witcher 3
-order 1886
-dying light[?]
-The evil within
and even longer:
-Uncharted 4
-Fallout 4
So i guess i will buy a ps4 around oktober/November 2014

I preordered GT6.
I still don't have it. Had an email from the company saying they are looking into it.
I'll get a PS4 in a year or two when there's a good library of games available for it. There aren't any next gen games on either console that really interest me right now.
I'm getting GT6 today (if the UPS tracking info is to be believed). After GT5 I've learned to keep my expectations low. PD is ages behind other dev's when it comes to AI programming, quantity of career mode races, livery editor, engine sounds, etc. I'm just hoping the new handling along with the handful of new tracks will keep me interested.
Sounds like you're only interested in the superficial aspects of racing games, not the experience of driving a vehicle with physics as close to real life as they have ever been in the virtual world.
I think Need for Speed is a game better suited for you, you clearly don't understand the point of Gran Turismo.
As crazy as it may sound I bought two copies of Gran Turismo 6 lol. I preordered one from Amazon and bought the anniversary edition at a local game shop. The one I ordered from Amazon UPS attempted to deliver while I was at home and so I wanted to play the game and I went out bought another.
So far the game is better than GT5 but the loading before you start a race is unbearable at times. Here's hoping GT6 does better because so far is not doing well sales wise.

I hopw GT6 does well. But this is and has always been my worry. The next generation is the focus and theyve already announced GT7 will be coming to PS4. Tht will detract a lot of sales. I think GT6 was a mistake. It should have – if anything – been released alongside GT7 for both consoles with the same name.
Thats just my opinion, other die hard GT fans will say otherwise, cus Ive already been told that. However sales are proving my theory correct right now.

I meant to say that UPS attempted to deliver while I was at work Friday morning lol otherwise I would have received it. I've been a die hard Gran Turismo fan since the first one and it's one of those franchises that I do not mind paying full price for. The second copy will most likely be a christmas gift or something.

Who in the heck at IGN did the review for GT6? I would like to know his/her car background. Does he/she not realize the efforts put into this game and each installment for that matter? They said the cars sound like "milkshake maker". A what? Really? I could puke.
And call it what it is. Its a blender for cryin' out loud. "Milkshake maker", geez!
Luke Reilly, a moron that doesn't have the capability of distinguishing the difference between a Kangaroo and a Koala, let alone what is or isn't a good racing game.
Side note: The car audio is the best it has been in the series in GT6. He was on some kind of sensory altering drugs when plaing this game.

Yeah this is true.
Fact of the matter is GT cars and their sounds have always been based on the car models, with super good accuracy. I cant understand that non sense.
It's funny how people begin to think that the rousing sound effects they hear in Fast and Furious movies and Forza games are "real" and the real sounds cars make sound fake because their head has been twisted by fiction.

The game lineup is not where I want it to be right now. It will get better down the road.
I was not a GT fan. I do have Burnout Paradise but I think GT is in its own class.
I did buy it… I think… way back on the PSOne and never bothered afterwards. I had more fun with I think it was called Rally. Don't have it anymore in my… uh hum.. collection.
I am waiting for after The Order comes out as hard as it is to hold off, but there is not much of selections right now to where if I finish one game there is not another I would like to follow. Would backwards compatibility swayed me…. no don't think so. Its the games holding me back. New games. PS4 looks to be a great systems for the next few years, but it is going to have to wait a while. I will continue to play and probably replay games on my PS3 for now.

i want to say i'm getting it but it won't be till next year some time i think cos there are a few titles such as now the ps4 tomb raider and drive club and infomous and then the crew and watch dogs later/mid year but year it'll come eventually i might even try get gt5 for christmas to get bk into the swing of it.
