EA: No Work On Battlefield 4 DLC Until The Game Is Stable

There are many serious issues still facing the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 .

Developer DICE has been working to release several title updates that will eradicate the annoying problems but thus far, the issues persist.

Don't worry, though; EA has pledged that nobody will rest until those problems are dealt with. In order to focus on fixing the game, the publisher has opted to halt production on expansion packs and other DLC until the game is running smoothly.

As an EA rep told GameSpot :

"First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game–it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game."

EA added that the China Rising DLC – which was just released for Premium BF4 subscribers – was already in the final stages of development when the first issues popped up. So, they figured they'd at least deliver that expansion. However, they're "not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4 ." That's good to know, but they had better act quickly. There a lot of annoyed gamers out there and they really just want the game to work .

They hurried to do this game. This game is turning into same ole thing, with different pretty pictures. You cant even destroy everything! Half the game didn't work at the start.

I hope they come up with some innovating stuff next game, if not, IM done with BF.

yea, thats probably the best idea.
this is a perfect example of why people hate EA, and publishers in general.
clearly the game was no where near ready for release, but as usual the publisher says no no you have to push it out the door we can fix it later.
really wish $ony and M$ would start being allot more stringent with their QA procedures.
i honestly cant remember the last time i played a game from start to finish with zero bugs!
even ACIV is pretty bad, im constantly getting stuck in the world.
seriously, is it so much to ask to actually get a working product these days?

i've only had minor issues. I think the game is great aside from a few bugs. It's not that big of a deal though. people tend to freak over petty things. Yes it's buggy, but it's also a great game that has some epic matches!!! People don't give dice enough credit. I mean they did create ANOTHER new game engine to run the game and to be honest its extremely impressive.

I'd like to point out that it's not just the ps4 version that's broken. All of them have issues including pc. I've been booted from the pc versions single player about 6 times. Finished it today though .

Very gorgeous game.
