Ben-DutkaKillzone: Shadow Fall is a great shooter. But obviously, games will get even better on the PlayStation 4.
Guerrilla Games lead designer Eric Boltjes spoke to AusGamers about how titles for Sony's new console will improve and evolve in the coming years:
Being my own personal views, and not necessarily company ones, but I think with every new platform, the first games that come out, because of just the way things work — with the way the tools get developed etc — it’s not using it’s maximum potential yet. Regardless of how beautiful Killzone: Shadow Fall is and how well it runs, I think games within the next five years running on the PS4 will be even more beautiful, and even better."
Boltjes added that more than anything, gamers are "hungry for something new, something different they haven't played before." Well, that was part of the trouble with Shadow Fall , as it definitely wasn't anything we haven't seen before. However, as time goes on, developers will continue to exercise their creativity (we hope), and they'll also learn the ins and outs of the PS4 at a quicker clip as compared to the PS3.
The result? Oh, nothing shy of gaming greatness for all, of course.
as the number 1 EVERYWHERE worldwide,this can be only great for us PS gamers,much fantastic games will come to the PS4!
I too hope they continue to improve greatly over last gen (which I think is still great and will still be comparatively good for quite some time)! I echo that too though, about most of the launch games being just slightly noticeably better technically, especially regarding the multi-plats.

yea difinately i figured as much i did think they were using abything close to the max of the console but the fact tht games already look this good and run as well as they do with alony a portion of what the console have to offer we're in for a good generation for sure i'm looking forward to what they have to offer inn the next few years as the utilization of the hardware and the tools get better and the great games will come.

thats part of the problem though, shadow fall tried to be too different.
if i didnt know who created the game i would swear it came from a totally different development team its just so different, it totally defies and betrays the standards KZ stood for!
and that is part of the problem, KZ has received its popularity because of how different it is to the other shooters.
shadow fall, though, is about as CoD twitchfest mess as you get!
and repetitive, i swear to god if i need to put one more petrecite container into those f*cking machines to destroy them again im going to grab a nuke, a fighter jet, and blow GG sky high so we never have to put up with this ridiculous BS EVER again!
christ, and people whine about CoDs cut and paste antics.
