Good news for RE7 fans out there, Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition has been revealed along with more details on upcoming DLC. RE7 brought back the horror element that made some of the older games so memorable. If you haven’t jumped on the ship already this would be an excellent time to do so.
The Gold Edition includes the full game and all three paid DLC. The DLC that comes with it are Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 as well as the upcoming End of Zoe. Mind you, this all comes with the season pass if you already have that.
In End of Zoe takes place after the main game in a completely new area. In this DLC you’ll find out what happens to Zoe and explore new swamp areas. If you don’t have the season pass, this DLC will be about 15 bucks.
Releasing the same day as the RE7 Gold is the free (as in free for whatever version of RE7 you have) DLC Not a Hero. Not a Hero also takes place after the events of the game but in this case are more like an direct extension to the story itself. In this DLC you play as classic character Chris Redfield as you investigate the events of the original game. Rumor has it that as an extension of the story, the actual boss of the game takes place in this DLC. Some people consider the original final boss to be pretty weak. This could be good news. We’ll see about that.
All in all it seems like a good time to check out RE7 if you haven’t already. The Gold Edition (at about $45) and the Not a Hero DLC come out Dec. 12th.
What do you think of the Gold Edition? If you don’t already have the season pass are you going to pick this edition up?
