Didja love Far Cry 3 ? If so, you'll be happy to know that a fourth iteration is definitely on the way. Sweeeeet.
We don't know when, but Ubisoft has essentially confirmed that Far Cry 4 will exist at one point. Senior vice president of marketing and sales Tony Key told GameSpot that it will "clearly" happen:
"It's a great brand, and now it's got the recognition it deserves, so we're clearly going to make another one: more on that soon."
Far Cry 3 managed to sell 6 million units, which made it one of the publisher's best performing titles alongside Assassin's Creed III and Just Dance 4 . Also, don't forget that the digital spin-off, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon , got plenty of favorable reviews and apparently did well in terms of sales. If you're looking for a kick-ass retro shooter, you gotta give it a try.
As for Far Cry 4 , we'll be excited to learn more about it.
I'm excited for Far Cry 4. If it's at all like Far Cry 3 (with hopefully a dramatically improved ending!), then I'll buy it.
I tried Blood Dragon, but it's too retro for me–before my time. Some of my older friends appreciate the '80s cheese, but not I.

Nevermind Far Cry, I want a full game version of Blood Dragon, that was one of the best overall games I've played this generation.
Fully agree, I need to get that game after playing it at a friend's house.
Really? Wow. Sounds like I need to check it out too, then.
Beam I forget your age but it helps if you grew up in the 80's.
I still haven't had a chance to play Far Cry 3 yet. But I have no doubt I will enjoy it. I liked the first two a lot although I thought the world design of the second one was just too spread out for my tastes.
I still need to beat Far Cry 2. 🙁
One day I'll get around to buying FC 3 and FC 3: Blood Dragon, but not anytime soon.
College has caused my backlog to become immense.

I loved the game, it was really fun. But the world did need some more things to do. Just Cause 2 is the only game I can play endlessly due to the amount of things to do.
Far Cry 4 needs to be, not bigger, but more concentrated.
That's good to know 🙂
Far Cry 3 is easily one of my favourite games this gen, and I don't even like fps's all that much!
All things considering, this game did so many things right.
